The whole cake is for presentation, not one serving. Offer only a small amount at a time.
Ingredients
- 100 g / 3.5 oz raw boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 5–8 small blueberries
- 1 fully cooked quail egg
- Optional: a small amount of plain, unseasoned chicken floss
- Optional: a very small amount of plain lactose-free yogurt, only for cats that tolerate it

How to make a cat birthday cake
- Trim and finely mince the raw chicken until soft and slightly sticky.
- Mash blueberries thoroughly and mix them evenly into the chicken.
- Only if needed, add a little plain water. The mixture should be soft and hold together without releasing liquid.
- Press firmly into a small heatproof ramekin or silicone mould; smooth the top.
- Steam over medium-high heat for 15–20 minutes. The centre must reach 74°C / 165°F. Cool slightly.
- Boil the quail egg until fully cooked, cool, peel, and halve it.
- Unmould the cooled cake. Optionally add a very thin yogurt layer, plain chicken floss, and half an egg.
Serving, storage & safety
- Offer a small amount at a time; new ingredients should be introduced gradually.
- Refrigerate in a sealed container and use within 24 hours. Store components separately when possible.
- Do not use raw chicken or raw egg. Use only plain, unseasoned ingredients.
- If a new ingredient causes a concerning reaction, stop feeding and contact a veterinarian if it persists.
