Many cats are lactose intolerant. Vomiting, diarrhea, bloating, or abdominal discomfort after cow's or goat's milk can indicate intolerance.
What to check
- Use only plain goat milk powder without sugar, flavourings, or additives.
- Do not use infant formula or sweetened and flavoured dairy products.
- Offer only a small piece the first time.
- Omit dairy completely if your cat has reacted to it before.
When to ask your veterinarian
Ask before introducing a new treat if your cat has a health condition, prescription diet, known food sensitivity, or recurring digestive signs.
