How to Store Homemade Cat Treats

Homemade meat treats are not automatically shelf-stable. Here is the storage guidance for the three Feline Gourmet free recipes.

Chicken biscuits

Up to 3 days chilled

Use within 24 hours

Dehydrated bites

3–4 days chilled

Store finished treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Freeze extras in small portions when the recipe permits. Do not leave homemade meat treats at room temperature for extended periods.

Baked chicken & goat's milk biscuits

  • Refrigerate airtight for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze sealed for up to 1 month.
  • Cool completely before storing.

  • Refrigerate in a sealed container and use within 24 hours.
  • Store components separately when possible.
  • Do not leave the cooked chicken cake out for extended periods.
